Philadelphia Eagles coach in floods of tears as he drops retirement speech
Nick Sirianni was overcome with emotion during the American national anthem at Super Bowl LVII.
The Philadelphia Eagles head coach was seen in floods of tears while ‘The Star-Spangled Banner’ rung out around Arizona’s State Farm Stadium.
Sirianni, who is only into his second year as an NFL coach, was struggling to fight back the emotions as cameras panned over to him on the touchline.
When the broadcast cameras zoomed in, tears could be seen streaming down his face as he looked up into the bleachers and sung along while taking in the incredible atmosphere.
When the NFL posted the footage on social, fans seemingly loved his passion.
One person commented: “What a moment for Nick Sirianni. Respect!”
While another added: “Respect! Dude has worked his ass off for this moment.”
