JUST IN: Alarms sound in Kansas City as Patrick Mahomes may have quickly lost a key Chiefs weapon already…. read more
This could not been something that people thought it could happen to start the preseason This is not exactly what the Kansas City Chiefs planed.
It was the first preseason game of the NFL-year and the Super Bowl winning team might be in a pickle. Wide receiver Marquise Brown had a shoulder injury in the first quarter of Saturday night’s game against the Jacksonville Jaguars and there is concern in the team.
Hollywood’ Brown, who joined the team this offseason, is going to be a big contributor to the offense led by Patrick Mahomes, as the team needed additional help at the wideout position even after winning the Super Bowl. Now, there is a chance they might more help there, because it is uncertain to
know how they will seem after the damage has been evaluated. In the play, he caused the team to mark him as ‘questionable’ for his return to the confrontation. It could have been prevented.
In Conclusion
Though it is the first preseason game of the year, the Kansas City Chiefs’ players were only supposed to play in the first half; it is unclear how long they would have lasted without the Brown injury. He remained on the sidelines for the remainder of the game, but he was expected to be on the pitch frequently. Now the question is whether he would have played at all or for only one series. The severity of the injury is unknown, but this does not mean there is no concern; in fact, the Chiefs are already assessing the issue in order to avoid any problems in the near future.
