Eagles Legend Jeremiah Trotter Follows Similar Route Like Jason Kelce’s Wife Kylie; Rejects Wearing Dallas Cowboys Jersey if Son Gets Drafted by Them
Late last month, the Philadelphia Eagles wanted to meet up with Clemson Tigers LB Jeremiah Trotter.
Despite his 5.5 sack season, the LB has garnered a lot of attention from NFL scouts all around. Trotter Jr.’s father was an Eagles LB who played 8 seasons on and off with the Philly team. Deep in his heart, the father still has hopes that his son will be an Eagle.
The father-son duo appeared on Take Off with John Clark and the father revealed something that he cannot withstand. This is something any hardcore Eagles fan would resonate with.
The Eagles’ former linebacker had a bone to pick with the colors white and blue, and rather choose neutral colors. Jeremiah Trottle Jr.’s father has all the reasons to not do this one thing.
The host posed a rather tough question to the father of the Clemson Tigers LB on the show.
The host asked, “What if he was drafted by the Cowboys or the Giants?” The question was nothing new to the Eagles’ veteran LB.
He said that he wouldn’t stop his son from joining the Cowboys or the Giants. The veteran still had his qualms about wearing the Cowboys jersey, even if it had his son’s name on it.
While people might attest to this behavior as some sort of controversy, the truth is something very different. Trotter has emotional reasons for not wearing a Cowboys jersey because he’s been a hardcore Eagles supporter for so long, rocking any other jersey is somewhat a blasphemous thought in his mind. The father doesn’t have any issues with wearing his son’s college jersey, though.
